We've just returned from a long weekend at Bucknowle Farm, Corfe Castle. The sun shone from start to finish and it's been a glorious camp. We held a 10penny fayre with cream tea on Saturday afternoon where family and friends came to visit and take part in a range of fun games before feasting on scones, jam and cream! We raised £65 to go to Macmillan. Well done campers! Looking forward to the next event.
Our Macmillan Coffee morning at church has raised a total amount of £420
Thank you to all who helped run the morning and to all of those who came and spend money on coffee, cakes and raffle tickets! This will be happening again next year :-) This picture was taken at Bucknowle Camp in August - a camp where we experienced brilliant sunshine one minute and pouring rain the next! As you can see from the colour of the sky in the photo; heavy downpours and a leaking campervan :-( However, it was a lovely camp and a site those there were all keen to visit again. Having heard that 2012 was not actually the wettest year as predicted I'm still hopeful that 2013 might be kind and give us a few dry weekends for our WMFCC camps! I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all members and visitors to the site a very happy new year. I am looking forward to being under canvas again soon. I'm afraid I am unable to set up a feedback / comments form page at the moment. Please feel free to comment on this blog with any feedback on the site or camps, or use the contact form and I will add the comments to the blog! Many thanks, Katherine
I have to confess that we still have sleeping bags in the roof box and a tent in the boot but instead of finishing unpacking I decided to update the website instead! I've created a little write-up of our weekend with photos etc... would be great to hear from others who were there, any photos etc to add to the site. Just drop me a line or
27 members joined together today for our annual general meeting and lunch.
The hotel kindly loaned us a large screen so we could launch our new website to members in style. The general feedback was excellent, and now the website is officially known to us all I look forward to receiving new items to add and watch it as it grows! Here it is, the first sign of a WMFCC web site - please let us know what you think - you can use the contact form by clicking here.
