Bank Holiday Sunshine!
Our first camp of 2013 and I think it's fair to say we were all a little wary as it crept closer with our weather being typically English and rather changeable! However, we could not have asked for a brighter, sunnier weekend. The site at Moreton was lovely with great facilities. Not too far from home but a lovely area to explore. Great countryside walks accessible from just outside the campsite and lovely villages around. Moreton tea gardens and church were very picturesque with more great walks. The Fampton Arms pub was 100 yards away with a lovely self contained skittles alley which we made use of on the Saturday night. Proceedings were a little delayed as the balls got stuck in the run.... but that situation was resolved and we went on to enjoy a lovely evening with bar meals and skittles. Tolpuddle Street Fayre happened to be this weekend also, so some of us spent a very pleasureable day meandering around the stalls, enjoying live music and making the most of the glorious weather! On Sunday we were made extremely welcome at Broadmayne Methodist Church, filling their pews! Then many picked up a bargain or two at the Moreton carboot... We came home refreshed and slightly tanned from a lovely first camp.
